You find yourself walking for some strange reason through a dimly lit library, walking down rows upon rows of old leatherbound books. Stopping as one entitled, "The Rules of the Modern World", catches your eye. Slowly you crack open the book and read through it.
Long ago when this strange world was new and people ran free there was much chaos. Then it came like a wave upon the land. The chaos turned hate. People always fighting over who had proper dominion. But soon rose a group of people determined to put an end to the fighting. They brought with them rules. Things that would serve as guiding principles for the people of the world. With those others have come. I give them now, to ye that wish to know more.
1) The Most important rule in RP. God Characters. These can and will be judged by the administration. Do not have them. They will not be tolerated. If you are told a power or character you have falls under this rule, change it. There will be NO Leeway given at all.
2) Please do not sign up if you do not intend to play. One of my favorite hobbies is to go through and remove inactive members. As long as your posting or doing something or have already given me a valid reason it's okay. Also activity includes posting on thread that you are a part of. If you do not you will be skipped or rped out of the scene very quickly. I will personally write around you. If you leave a thread to die, then you will be removed from it. There is a 3 day maximum on inactivity. Otherwise you will be written around. If the thread you are in has not been posted on in 3 days, skip that person, this is a SOLID rule now.
3) When it comes to decisions, the moderators are the final word. What they say is law. If you do not abide by their judgements you will be removed. If you disagree with a judgement, contact the other moderator and they will discuss the reason of your ban or kick and a final
judgement will be set.
4) No matter how strong you are the lands magic is even stronger. You CANNOT destroy the planet or the City. The magic that wards the planet is stronger than the very existence and memory of time. If you are strong enough to do this any ANY of the rps then you are a god character.(see Rule 1)
5) Fights must be done with a fairness. The style for the fight maybe picked by those in the fight. However, multiple moves and moves that result in an instant death will not be allowed. You cannot claim a character dead without the mun (the person behind the char) allowing the hit to succeed. This rule is viable up to the point that not all moves are able to be dodged. Most of you have been in, or at least seen, some fights and know the proper edicate for them. Please play accordingly. You may ask for a neutral 3 party opinion to judge actions, in such a case, its suggested that you contact an admin for this as their judgements are final.
6) If your character is killed in the process of the story, and this can and will happen to some people (To play is Consent), don't whine. Playing is consent to kill. Its happened too many times that people bull up to characters that would, in character, completely kill the other. If you do that here, your character will die. In real life the five year old doesn't bull up to the battle hardened warrior and expect to get away without a scratch. This is how it is in rp as well.
7) There is to be no bickering on the boards. I will not have slanderous posting and arguing back and forth. The moment topics get insulting and abusive they will be locked. If It is found that a certain person is starting numerous things and fights. They will first be warned and if they continue their IP will be banned. This is to keep all these politics out of the rp.
8)This rule is being added to prevent issues on the board. If you have problems with an administrators decision take it up with them PRIVATELY, do not call them out on the boards. Doing so sets a bad example and will be severely punished. I can't stress enough the importance of when an admin has to step in, to just let them do their job and talk to them about it in PMs. If you don't feel like they'll listen, talk to a different on in PMs. Its part of the reason that is there. Publicly questioning an administrators decisions can and has in the past cause problems on a board level. Please do not do it. This rule is in perfect league with rule 7.
9) It is prefered that people have no more than 3 active characters at any one point in time. It will be accepted however I would like a valid excuse for why you are playing so many characters. This is for over crowding and delay reasons. Too many characters have a tendonsy to slow down the rp. If you can keep up its okay, but please ask for permission from one of the admins PRIOR to registering a new char past the 3 char limit marker.
10) Since it has become a recent issue this rule is being added. Some people feel the need to completely ignore other people in threads because their character is not interacting with them. This is not allowed. If you are in the same thread with multiple people you are NOT to violate the posting order. Violations will result in warnings, further violations will result in further restrictions placed upon you, up to and including bans. By ignoring posting order and/or posting out of order you are effectively ignoring the other players in the thread, and cutting off anything that THEIR character might do. This is VERY rude and will not be tolerated. Just as other insults and rude behavior will not be tolerated and is subject to the same restrictions. (See rule 7)
11)No person is to have more than ONE username. Each username is capable of an unlimited number of characters and thus there is NO need to have more than one user name. If it is found that a person has more than one username I will delete one, and I cannot garentee that it won't be the one that you have the most characters on. DO NOT CREATE MORE THAN ONE LOGIN.
12) Due to the board being capable of running just about any HTML tag, this rule is being instated. ANY malignant(dangerous) html code that hinders operation of the board or messes up how the posts are put together will result in an IMMEDIATE ban and following a follow up investigation by the administration, you may be permenantly banned thereafter. DO NOT do it.
13) Another addition due to the cloning issues that have popped up on the site. Cloning due to past issues with the clone army issue is not allowed in any way shape or form on the site. If you wish to make another character that is a 'clone' of another character you must first have the permission of that characters player. Due to the volitile nature of this, any permission that is given must be given ON THE BOARD so that there is always a reference back to it.
14) One major difference in this rp over many of the others you've probably encountered is my approach to conflict resolution. I flat out haven't got the time to deal with each and every little squable between members. I'm not your mother. So my approach is simple. Talk to the person your having a problem with and do it civily. That means polite critisism and discussion not cussing. If you think you might cuss at them, calm down take a break and try again in a few minutes. Do this BEFORE whining to me. Cause I'm just going to ask if you've talked to them yet. If you still can't reach a resolution or if the person is being unreasonable in yoru eyes. Talk to me, and I will discuss it among my moderator staff or make a flat ruling. As I said before I do not have the time to deal with every little childish issue that's going to come up. So solve them on your own before trying to complain to me.
15) Most important rule in the entire existance of the RP. If you do not have fun I will be mad. So have fun.
