Andrej had rode out two horses after the messengers had run the grim news of the attack to him. He had been surveying a new possible village sight along the far southern seashore with a few ministers. In his haste to get home, he had left all of them behind. Not a single bodyguard was left with him when he clip clopped into the city and the waiting return of several of the Royal Guard. He dropped off the horse and made his way in long strides into the palace. As he walked, his shirt still clinging to him with the sweat of the ride, he ordered those around him. He would have to survey the damages later, for now he had to remedy a larger set of damages. Damages to the security of the kingdom, damages to the faith of the people in his family's rule. "Call forth Magos and have him muster his own. I require a full report as soon as possible. Contact the Queen and inform her I have returned and someone get me a full report on the guard that are assigned to her. Of all the times...." He spoke that last part with a rare show of disgust. His father would weep if he was here to know that such a thing happened when the King was away. At least he had his wife here, a representative of the royal family to hold things together in his absence. However, he worried for her. How could he not? Anyone so despicable as to bring discord to Trine Gloria would think nothing of harming an innocent woman. He had to get that out of his mind for now, so he could be level headed for the hours ahead. He refused the offer of wine but took the offer of a fresh shirt, changing in the throne room as he watched the servants bring in a large table.

The door of the throne room opened, and Alexandre floated his way inside. His troops, two by two, took position to each side of their lieutenant, kneeling at the passage of their queen. “All military matters have already been taken care of. General Deligo has calmed the people as much as he could. General Dia is researching how such an attack was possible. General Yuudai is out scouting and should be back soon. Lieutenant Attyiar left earlier after interrogating one of the attackers that General Yuudai captured.” He spoke calmly as he gave a general report of the present situation to the king. He ‘d land before the king, finally letting the queen stand on her own feet. “Your security shall be under my care until further orders from General Yuudai, both of you.” He’d take a few steps back after speaking to leave the king and queen some space, looking at them both as he finished his sentence.

What the King and Queen did not know was that the other were away during that drastic time. Riona had forgotten about her husband's affairs elsewhere. Since she never had to ask permission to go visit her family, she...pretty much left without many people's knowledge. She has done that before, multiple times. She had honestly thought that her husband would have returned long before she left. She was wrong and by the time that Alexandre and arrive to the throne room, she felt the guilt and despair building inside of her. She blamed herself. She should have been more responsible. She caught her husband putting on a fresh shirt and she dashed toward him, tears streaming down her beautiful face as she sobbed. "My husband! You're safe! Thank the Goddess you're safe!" She opened her arms when she was close enough and gave him a quick and firm hug, burying her face against his shoulder as she continued to sob. He was alright. He was safe. No harm had come to her beautiful husband. Her slender frame shook with each hard sob. She shook her head, her voice became slightly muffled. "This was my fault! None of this would have happened if I... If I had not gone to see my family! Please forgive me! Andrej please forgive my horrible mistake!" She gripped the back of his shirt so tightly that she was terrified that if she were to let go that she would fall. |

It had been roughly 3 hours since the attack, He had been going to all of the different towns, assuring the people that everything would be okay. Seeing a General of the Trinity Knights in person did a lot for their morale. He was hoping that he would accidentally stumble upon the terrorists as well, but to no avail. His loyal lieutenants were carry out orders and he couldn't have been more proud of them. Alexandre would give his life to protect the king and queen and Kara's loyalty was matched by none. He was a little hesitant about letting her go off on her own but he trusted her judgement and if there was anyone more reliable it was her. Getting wind of the king's return he immediately headed back towards the palace at top speed. It didn't take long to travel the vast countryside before he was turning the corner catching up with Alexandre. He would seemingly appear aside of him giving him a nod. "Good work Lieutenant." He moved pass Alexandre standing in front of the king and queen his right hand behind his back as he dropped his head to bow. "General Isamu, reporting your majesty." He would say calmly to his king. |

"Wait you..." His was digesting the words of his general when it occurred to him that she had been absent through this entire occurrence. He wrapped an arm around her waist but said nothing for a moment. It was very lucky she could not see his expression of frustration that welled up and faded just as quickly. "Shh, shhh, I am fine. Just fine. I am very happy to see you are as well. It all had perfect timing, didn't it. These things usually do." He took in the report from Alexandre and gave a slow nod of his head. Behind him servants were moving and bustling, someone was bringing him the official ornate collar of office to snap over the fabric collar of his shirt. He allowed their momentary obtrusiveness as he spoke. "You have done very well then but I place top priority on the interrogation report right now. I need a report of losses as well. Injuries and deaths. Save for the property damage for another time. What were the conditions of the area that was hit? Lots of nobles around? Lots of knights? Just a normal gathering?" He groaned to himself at the disjointed nature of it all. He had no experience with these types of affairs, their kingdom had been at peace for very long. "Lieutenant, I appreciate your care taking of our security but please right now I need to speak to Magos. He served my father, he is the most experienced and perhaps he shall have some wisdom to shed upon this situation. I am more than shocked that ...this happened under our noses and we had no idea. It has to be some foreign element perhaps or some lone mad man. I can hardly believe we would have a revolutionary element given the condition of the kingdom. " As he spoke he gently stroked the hair of his wife, comforting her. It had to be incredibly frightening to her, because it sure was frightening to him. "Riona, Riona, you being away had nothing to do with this. While I would have preferred to have one of us here, it may be that this element waited for just this moment. There is no way you could have known. No use looking back on it, we shall just have to look forward and end this menace quickly before fear spreads." He noticed Isamu enter and nodded his head to him. "You acted quickly and it is good to see you safe. Do you bring with you an interrogation report or a damage report?" |

Witnessing the touching reunion, Alexandre flew above the scene before positioning himself next to the throne. The king was right though, both their absence on the day of the attack. The goal of it all really was fear and doubt within the kingdom, a barbaric but basic tactic. They never had a specific target. It wasn’t over. More attacks would surely come. He somewhat wished they would, so that he could face the ones responsible. They couldn’t send cannon fodder forever, surely they knew after the display of the three generals earlier. “The only gathering at the moment was in the training grounds which turned out to be good fortune for us and the damage report itself should still take some time, there’s still much rubble yet to be moved.” His Left the rest to his general, as he had already given all the information he possessed.

Thank the Goddess that such a kind man existed. His comforting touch and voice was enough to get her to stop sobbing. She merely sniffled from time to time, He was not mad at her. She continued to hug him tightly while he talked to the others. She was still scared. The attack on the castle was no coincidence, she was sure of it. When he spoke to her again, she listened to those wise words intently. She had to look forward. Looking back on what happened would only cause more grief right now. She straightened her body and she looked at Andrej before smiling weakly. She thought she must have looked like a mess with her tear streaked, and reddened cheeks. She wiped her tears away before moving to his right side and she clutched onto his right arm gently with her head laying against his shoulder. She whispered quietly to Andrej, though she already had a feeling of what his answer was going to be. "Andrej, there are people still hurt out there... With the protection of Lieutenant Alexandre, may we go help the citizens? Please." She could not sit in the bedroom knowing that people were hurt and needed care. She hoped that her appearance would get rid of any doubt the people may have by this point. It was already bad enough that Andrej's advisors never really cared for her in the first place, she did not want the people of the kingdom to not trust her too. |

"I appologize your Highness. But that won't be necessary. The citizens are being addressed as we speak," Magos strode into the room, his brilliant platinum hair fluttering gently in the wake of his movements. He moved to the table, extending a hand, several documents manifesting there. He turned to Lady Rinoa, tilting his head to her respectfully before continuing. "General Deligo has ensured that the citizens are cared for. And I have my own Lieutenents focused on rebuilding the city. It's imperitive that we keep you two safe and out of danger." MAgos then turned toward the king, lowering himself to one knee and bowing his head. After a moment he slowly rose back to his aged feet. He reached out, gripping Andrej's shoulders in each hand. "Are you well, my friend?" |

"Put the rebuilding contracts out to general bid, Knight General. At least someone will get some work out of this. I need your men and women to focus instead on the source of the destruction. In this time of brief chaos, I am asking that those guards assigned to the streets be asked to report back to their officer for new patrol designations. Perhaps we were attacked because we had become routine in our security. Too comfortable..." He let that word hang in the air a moment. They had indeed all become rather comfortable with the peace that ruled the kingdom. They knew little else. This is why this act was so effective for their enemies, everyone would be in a state of shock. Perhaps bad decisions would be made because of this. Of this he was very cautious indeed. He was torn between appearing the strong and capable ruler and rushing headlong into hasty action that would cost more lives and lengthen the time until their enemy was captured and dealt with effectively. He leaned his cheek to his wife's hair a moment as he considered his next words. He noticed Magos kneel a moment and released Rinoa to take a step forward and offer the other an arm. "No need to kneel to me, you served my father when i was just a child." He gave the other a small reserved smile before continuing. "As for me, I am fine. I rode back from the construction works as fast as I could. I left my ministers there or limping back home now in their carriages. I never can understand people who do not know how to ride. But as for our next actions, I am open to your wiser judgement, Magos. I would prefer we step up guards and knights on the street. We ask local citizens around the damage if they have seen anything and we get that interrogation at our top priority. Anyone named as a conspirator will be jailed for further questioning. But other than this, I feel we should not curtail any other normal activities. If people can return to their lives, they will not be as frightened." He stepped back to his wife and spoke to her gently, echoing the Knight General's words. "It is all taken care of by our most trusted friends. I would gladly let you go help, I know you wish to. But is that really safe? Especially considering what just happened, these people have no respect for life. Seeing you out there may give the people confidence but it may inspire our enemies to wicked and bold action. Why don't you plan some charity event for the nobility to help offset the costs of rebuilding. This will put minds at ease and you are very persuasive." He gave her a bright smile at that. "Perhaps a ball." |

The populace was in chaos. People milling about in the streets trying to coordinate the reconstruction of the economic structure of the city. The port was left relatively unharmed by the assault, but the centerpiece of the city's infrastructure was in ruins. Houses burned, shops desecrated, people dead. It had plunged the city into a dark, smoke filled time. It was easy to blend within the crowd. Corden Baldir had an ensemble of twenty men who would follow him to the death. Twenty men who were just as driven to dethrone the king as he was, if not more. Gradually they were milling their way to the doubly guarded gate. They were on edge, eyeing everything suspicious up and down. They would never expect the unsuspicious. Corden meandered his way around, closing on the gate ahead of the rest of the group. The heavy wooden doors were open, but the iron dropgate was down, preventing individuals from entering. The rudamentary gears had already been surveyed by an insider within the keep, and the drop gate could easily be lifted with enough manpower. Two of his fellow rebels closed behind him as he hailed the guards standing at their posts. One responded by raising his halberd, acknowledging that he was paying attention. Corden closed the distance with a steady walk speaking as he trod forward, "'Ello mate. Keep this conversation low, but i've heard rumor from a very reliable source that there is another attack coming, this time on the castle." The guard's eyebrows rose almost to an unbelievable height. His eager voice told a clear tale of his excitement about the forewarning, "Quick! Tell me citizen. When will the attack come?" Corden's voice took on a vile tone. "Now." The sound of metal tearing through fabric, skin, meat, and bone tore through the air as heads turned. The kill was the command for the ensemble following Baldir to attack, and they closed the distance to the remaining guards and made quick kills before the Trine Gloria warriors could react to their commanding officer's death. Corden tossed the man aside as if he were a mere piece of livestock. He moved to the drop gate, taking position with three of his men and they all heaved the gate upwards to allow the rest of the troup to quickly make it inside. They dropped the gate behind him. The king was inside the keep, and so was Corden. |

He opened his mouth to give his report, when Magos arrived. He opted to let the veteran General speak before him out of respect. He had plenty of time to talk. He listened to the two of them talk, nodding his head in approval of certain things. "Your majesty.." He started to say before hearing a faint noise. From all his training he could hear the slightest sounds that indicated combat. In a burst of speed he moved to the window, seeing the carnage that took place below. He looked over to Alexandre giving him a quick nod. "Lieutenant! Meet me outside!" Before anyone could respond he took off causing a wave of wind to blow loose objects around the room as he made his exit. He moved at near top speed through the palace in a blur of red, green and white. He weaved between Corden's men stopping behind the large group blocking their exit. "Surrender of die. You have to the count of five." He said calmy to the attackers. He made sure to gather all of their attention by his presence. After all he was the fabled General of Body, even in a 20 on 1 odds. They had to know they were at a dissadvantage. "1.." He said, crossing his arms over his chest. "2.." He stood there calmly, his grim face seemingly carved out of stone. He shifted his body to the side slightly revealing to the observant eye that the quiver attatched to side that normally contained 15 bolts in it was empty. He had fired the bolts on the straight away towards the battlefield long ago. "3" The 15 bolts would rain into 15 of the terrorists. His gaze shifting to their commander, as he reached to his twin katanas on his side. "4.." |

Riona had calmed down by this point, not wanting to further concern her dear husband. She released a small breath before straightening her body. She watched and listen Andrej interact with the others with a content smile on her face. She knew that this horrible situation would not be done by the next day, but she had faith that the soldiers, Lieutenants, and Generals will be able to thwart this threat. When Andrej spoke to her again, she slowly nodded in understanding. She very well could not risk her life right at that moment in time as much as she wanted to help the other people. She did have faith in their friends to tend to the needy, she just did not want to feel useless. The mentioning of a charity event makes her eyebrows raise. She smiled a little more after seeing him smile. She nodded once more, feeling better bit by bit. "A ball sounds wonderful. I will start planning it immedi-.." She was interrupted when Isamu went to the window and told Alexandre to go join him outside. Her heart started to race as she began to look panicked. "Again? They're attacking again, right now?!" |

As his general headed to the window, Alexandre quickly understood, the wind now carrying the sounds of battle clearly to him. The wind carried his body above the small crowd within the throne room. Before his superior left the room, a calm wind could be felt in the room, focusing directly onto the lieutenant. The high concentration of gases around him emitted a faint green glow as it created a form of pressurised protection. He could feel the slightest movement of air around him. By the time Isamu spoke, Alex was ready to follow, even answering his superior slightly too enthusiastically. “Yes sir!” Not but a moment latter, both his and his general had vanished from the room without a trace. Alexandre traveled through the wind tunnel created by his superior, the lieutenant’s body gracefully flowing through every turn, the tunnel closing right behind him as not to destroy everything in their path. Making their way threw the castle, the soft green glow around his body become much bright around his calves and front arms. The silver dragon designed gauntlets and greaves materialised over his body. The 15 soldiers hitting the ground, Alexandre arrived to the scene, blocking their path forward. Things were serious, he knew that, but a slight frown still formed on his face, disappointed by the small number of enemies.

Andrej could not bear to believe it. Two attacks in one day. What was going on. He had to admire the quick work of his generals but the attacks existence was frustrating enough! He reached for Riona's hand and spoke to her, knowing that they needed to stay far from this endless violence. "I fear that our enemy has more chaos than order to them. This ensures we will be facing such worthless attempts for some time. We may have to stall that idea and instead throw our efforts into the act of ferreting out these and bringing them to justice. It is not normal for the people to find malcontent, I call this the act of outsiders then. Those who have lived in the hinterlands. We must encourage our citizens to speak out against those in their midst who have spoken against the royal family and the way of life here. I do not wish to turn our society paranoid but someone knows who is behind this and how to stop them..." He set his brow, hearing the distant violence and thinking what lives were being thrown away on fools errands. "We also must know...why. This could be easily remedied by a two pronged front." |

Magos reacted in an instant, casting a magical barrier over the room to repel any one not allied with the kingdom from entering. He turned out the window, watching the arrows rain down ton the intruders. It was almost a pity. There was no way they could ever anticipate that coming. And even if they did move, very few people anticipated Isamu's ability to stop you from breathing, or his deadly effetiveness with it. Magos turned back, waving his hands, mutering beneith his breath. As he spoke the king and queen both faded from sight, his invisibilty spell wrapping around them with little effort. His dark eyes shot around the room for a moment, calculating his next move. After a long moment he spoke. "My apologies Your Highness. I must assist General Yuudai. These brigands may be beneith his skill level, but I feel an example must be presented." With that Magos was goe, his body rematerialized on the roof of the keep. His dark eyes caught sight of a single whiteclad youth sharing the rooftops, also watching the men below. Magos kept a careful eye on the men below, silently charging his magical energy. |
