"Lesson One Completed. Grade:B minus" The terrorists turned to her, six in total, weapons drawn, shields ready. The moved in a cohesive unti, hiding behind their heavy metallic shield. The first clanged the edge of his sword against his shield, the sound, loud, but drowned out in the ferocity of the squall Kara fought them in. Several seconds later, the Danger Room mechanical voice echoed out again. "Lesson 2. Shock Bolt and Electro Touch. Lesson goal. Defeat three opponents with ranged bolts of electricity and defeat three opponents with electrocution by physical contact. Lesson 2 commence." The first terrorist rushed Kara, sword at the ready. He approached the Arc SeVant with an enraged roar and lurched forward, attempting to burry his blade in her belly. |

He turned around as the items scattered. He jumped avoiding the spilled drink, as he was wearing white shoes and leaped over towards Lalone who had fallen to the floor. He bent down beside her, using his right arm he hooked it around her waist to help pull her up to her feet. "Hey, you gotta be more careful." He said in a concerned voice. The Sage looked down to her with a smile and arched brows. "Though, I'd happily pick you up if you fell again." he added after noticing how close he was to her. "Don't worry about this mess" After helping Lalone to her feet he walked to the wall panel typing in a 4 digit code. Near the ground a small opening would form and multiple wheeled robots made their way into the hall. The started cleaning up the mess, the first one sweeping up the scattered food. The second one vaccumed up the liquid followed by the third which dried the floor and then returned to it's resting spot. "I love technology..." He started. "Everything good? You didn't like sprain your ankle or anything?"

She groaned to herself well aware she had officially made herself look like a cluts but she knew she was, ever since she was a child she was clumsy. The feeling quickly changed though when she suddenly felt Donovan’s grip on her waist, making her blush a deep pink as she laughed lightly attempting to play it off. Hearing him ask about her made a small warming feeling in her chest before she stood near him.''Oh I’m fine just a tumble.’’ She answered him softly before giving him a sincere smile.

Kara took in a deep breath only to have a sour look cross her face at her final grade. B minus?? What the hell?? Fine then, if she wanted to ace this stuff, she needed to work faster and harder. As she heard her next primary objective she realized the terrorists were advancing quite quickly. Seriously?? She watched the man lunging at her now, and she realized she could kill him easy with her shortsword, but that was not the objective here. She side stepped the sword thrust with hardly any effort, immediately sheathing the sword. She reached out both hands grabbing the man's shoulder as he thrust past where he thought she had been. She used him as leverage to push her body up and quickly pulled her feet up to momentarily use his shoulders as a stepping stone to propel herself up into the large oak tree a few feet away. The energy surging off of her after her last skill performed seemed to stun the man, but not knock him out. At least that was one skill that she kinda figured out, she guessed. Kara gripped the tree branch tightly and instantanteously swung herself up to stand on the tree branch. This should buy her a few seconds to try to conjur this so-called 'Shock bolt', she hoped. She whipped her bow out, surveying the ground quickly. Her free hand was already open, palm facing upwards as she focussed intensely. Shouldn't be much harder than converting herself into a bolt of lightning, should it? Every ounce of energy she could feel trickling in her body she willed to the center of her palm. It was tough work, coaxing every free acting bolt to one concentrated area, but it didn't seem beyond her will. The blue glow intensified and radiated quickly over what seemed like eternity, when in reality it formed in mere seconds. It was a glowing, pulsating blue ball that was nearly 6 inches in diameter. She held her bow up with the other hand, gripping it firmly, and holding two fingers of that grip up in a peace sign fashion. She then, with precise technique and concentration, moved her other hand to the bow, palm still facing up as she slid her fingers down to interlace with the peace sign. As she pulled her hand back the ball seemed to stretch into 3 bolts steadily being held there by her intense will. She looked at the three closest men, and aimed at each of them, letting one bolt loose for each forehead locked in sight. She was an expert marksmen, especially at this distance, it was laughable. She would have gone for the furthest ones to make a better show of her skills, but she needed to buy a few more seconds to get that other skill.
She placed her bow away now, as she flipped from the tree. The only problem now was.. she couldn't tap at that energy she once had. She must have drained herself with that one skill. She saw the men advancing, as she grabbed her shortsword again. It was still charged, and so with that she willed it into her body. It was hardly anything though to charge herself up. The rain still poured, and it was almost like she was getting a sense of something in the air. It was about to touch down, she knew it. It yearned for her, just like she needed it, needed to wield it's charge. She focussed momentarilly, until she heard it ripping through the air at insane speeds, she slid 10 feet to her right as the lightning cascaded towards her. She threw her hands up, as if catching it, absorbing it. She gasped, taking in gulps of air. Such a raw vibe of power surged her body, and it could be explained as nothing more but ecstasy. Her body trembled in humility and adoration for the nature of such pure energy, she couldn't help but have her entire body fully charged now. It was hardly an effort to be lethally electrocuting now. The last three terrorists stared at her in horror, and she wondered if they might actually run, but this was a simulator, she smirked. She raced up to the first one, and he dodged her as she hoped, but as he turned to look at her now past him, she shoved his shoulder lightly. Well at least it appeared like a light touch, but her touch transfered a powerful electric charge not stable for the human body to sustain. The metal armor heated up instantly and he felt it. The heat would only serve to boil the man alive. "Tag.. You're it.." Kara then raced to the next one before he knew what fully happened and grabbed his shoulders, only to push him away, the touch holding on long enough to have a fatal effect. The last one she walked up to slowly the raw energy could be felt flowing from her easily. She grabbed both cheeks in her hands, this alone incapacitating him anyways, but for an added effect she reach up and kissed his forehead. Sparks could be seen attaching to the man from her lips, as she pulled away now, letting go of the man's cheeks. Kara's eyes drifted around, waiting for the voice, hoping the show was good enough.

"Not bad...not bad at all.." Jack stated, grinning some at Kara. Well, ofcourse she knew how to fight, she was part of Trine Gloria's army, but it seemed that was she was grasping her powers very quickly. That was good. Right now, he studied her form, and her technique, then applied what he had knew on the battlefield. He yawned a bit as he was waiting for his own turn to get back into this, and fight. So this is what it was like to witness first hand what lightning powers were like. It was inevitable that they would continue, and that he himself would personally watch and have teleported by decomposing his own molecular structure to allow fast movements, but he had to give her credit for the sheer creativieness that she was putting forth, very interesting. He may be young, but he sure knew how to fight. Jack thought to himself that these challenges would be especially rough for him, because he needed to master how to use four different SeVant powers at once, so he needed to learn, and watch them do what they did. Then the next challenge came and he witnessed her defeat the opponents with quite a bit of ease. First by contact, it was a sheer shocking grasp for her to apply and short circuit their nervous systems...hmm, he would take note of that. He didn't think he'd be able to channel electricity through his sword, so he would have to settle by his fingers and hands, although what she did was unique and creative, he found it to be to slow on the battlefield for him, and kept telling himself that everyone has their own unique battle style, and his didn't seem to flow with hers, because he had witnessed her do more so creativity and show cleverness, while he himself was fast, and high powered moves, sometimes showing unpredictability. He did admire her spirit, and it made him want to get into the danger room and do his own training, and he chuckled to himself after he witnessed her taunt the men. Boy, she was something else.. "Next...come on, let me in..."

"Lesson Completed. Grade: B plus." After several seconds the scene changed, the bodies of the terrorists vanishing. The room flashed bright white and Kara stod now in the castle courtyard, alone with no weapons. The word twisted and jumped a few times, a by product, Teyku and Donovan would know meant that the syste was searching the world for a proper cantidate totest her skills. The jumping stopped as the system reregistered the scene. A gust of wind whipped up, blowing Kara'sd hair violently, as an all too familiar face lowered down before her. He twirled the metal lance in his hands before moving into his battle pose, bladed top of the weapon aimed at the Arc SeVant. "Opponent Generated: Alexandre Duboise Alexandre smirked a bit before leaping foward, deadly fast on a wind current, bringing the blade down and across, trying to rend her in twain. |

"If you're okay we can continue." The firey Sage said, his arms up in front of his chest palms up with a light smile through his crimson red hair. He turned quickly, his purple trench coat whipping around as he started walking back to the door. He snapped his fingers causing a small burst of light, in his hand was.. Another drink which he held back behind over his shoulder to her, though insteead of pepsi she changed it to... Cherry pepsi. He pushed the button on the elevator, waiting once again for the cart to bring itself back their level. The plastic bag off food that hung from his wrist was moved to his hand which he handed to her also, being that she had dropped her food. "Instead of having you go through the training simulation, I came up with a better more time effecient idea for you, given your particular power set. I may not be Teyku but I have strokes of genius at times too.." He said with a reassuring grin as he leaned his right shoulder on the wall. After a few moments the elevator would come to a stop and a loud "DING!" could be heard as the doors opened for them.

Grabbing the drink along with the bag of food she followed him, keeping her distance still while her hand that gripped the bag had gripped her cloak as well. She shivered at the small chill that slipped at her lower back from the newly breeze.
Her top was a a simple white tank top that hemmed right above her belly button. With each small stride she took, the gadgets rocked and slapped against her chest before she readjusted the wrist gadget up onto her forearm. Training.. What would she possibly make.. She pondered momentarily before trying to remember the chant for her powers but it quickly resurfaced when her thoughts were interrupted by elevator.

Another look of shock and frustration crossed the hard working SeVant's face now. She had completed that objective with style, and finesse, what more could this machination want?? She knew this thing must have been created by those hotheads, definately meant to be a humbling experience. Or at least that was the impression Kara was getting. But it didn't matter about the grade, she kept telling herself. She was learning some fairly badass skills along the way, and she couldn't help but feel uplifted with those thoughts. Kara was a natural perfectionist, so getting graded anything less than perfect noticably unnerved the girl. She prepared for the next challenge, the electricity still highly charged radiating in and out of every inch of her body. She was confident, going into the next one, but not as cocky this time.
Kara couldn't help but smirk as she saw a familiar face. The entire time she'd known her fellow comrade she never was able to really fight him fair and square. Either he had to handicapp, or she had to suffer, as her regular combat and archery skills were no match for his wind techniques. But things were different now, yeah. She was finally on level playing field. As she heard the computer ring out the next opponent and challenge, she almost looked confused. She shrugged slightly and then focussed back onto Alexandre. She was almost taken back by the man's speed in her direction, but this wasn't too hard to avoid. The wind current definately made him faster than the opponents she just dealt with, but she narrowly dodged his attack, turning to the side while taking one step back, watching him fly forward. She jerked her hands out quick, her palms pulsating with electric currents that called out to the metal lance, a calling the metal couldn't ignore. It obeyed her command, willing itself to her palms, and due to the man's surprise, it flew from his grasp instantaneously. As soon as she felt the metal touch her skin, the electricity flowing through newly created currents in the lance and back into her hands, she forced her leg out sharply, aiming for the man squarely in the back, which would only intensify his forward momentum into the ground now. "I play for keeps.." Kara having disarmed the man too easily she felt, proceeded to slam the lance blade first into the cobblestone beneath her. It seemed to slide effortlessly through the ground, but as shown in the area surrounding the impact, the cobblestone was blackened. Strong electric currents had been manipulated into the force and speed of the action, creating quite an anomaly, indicating the weapon was now stuck into the ground, rendering it unretreivable for her colleague. She then slid her foot back slightly, giving her knees a slight bend as she watched the man, readying herself for battle. She was forcing all of the electric currents in her body to convulse and metastasize into her palms now, awaiting the next move, or objective.

"Pretty impressive if I do say so myself..." Jack stated, and he kept his arms crossed now. He looked on, watching her disarme her opponent quite quickly, and he realized that she was facing off against one of her own; a lieutenant just like herself. How ironic that Teyku programed this for her. He was severely hoping that Kara's training would be over soon, because as much as he liked watching, and learning what lightnings powers could do, he still wanted to train, and start developing his own strength because he needed to deal with how to use four different powers, as opposed to having to deal with just one. Sure, it seemed like he was strong, but he was also young, and unless he remembered how to fight from his previous lives, and could muster up the mind that he had to wield the elements, then this was not going to be an easy feat. He was all alone, which him kind of lonely, simply because of the fact that he was out here; Kara was there, Donovan and Lalone went off to train, and Teyku was well....somewhere. He sighed a bit, but he tried to wait patiently, sipping a pepsi all the while to try and pass the time. He also remembered that if Donovan didn't come back, to press the button. He kept that in the back of his head, ofcourse, and followed his instructions to the letter, watching and waiting for the next challenge that was presented. How intriguing, he figured lightning could be able to use magnetism, and be able to disarm weapons like that. He had to be very careful incase he did deal with people who could use magnetism, or if he ever sparred Kara herself. For now, he just waited, thinking that there is no way that the Danger Room computer would give her anything less than an A. I mean, she did exactly what it wanted, what else could give her an A? In his opinion, he knew she was a renown warrior, otherwise she wouldn't be a high-ranking officer for Trine Gloria, and Jack himself just valued his freedom for such a young age, and did not want to have a life of servitude, so he would protect what he cared for, and fight without having to follow any orders. Maybe that was gonna change a little now? ...Maybe...

"Lesson Completed. Grade: A." The world flashed white and cleared, leaving Kara standing alone again on the courtyard of the castle. It flashed once more, placing Kara on the open plains of Trine Gloria. A green and silver blur flashed by and stopped in front of Kara. His back was turned, but to Kara, there would be no mistaking the profile of the man staning before her. "Opponent Generated: Isamu Yuudai As soon as the voice stopped, Isamu took off, a binding blur of green and silver, streaking acros the plains at top speed, creating a sizeable gap between Kara and her target.

Suddenly the challenge ended, and out rang Kara's grade. She nodded, an expression of slight satisfaction finally gracing her face. But it couldn't be that easy, could it? For all she knew, these guys had rigged it so that A wasn't the top grade. She chuckled lightly, readying herself for whatever the machine brought on next.
And with that thought, as prepared as she may have thought she was, she couldn't help but be vulnerable as her heart tripped over it's beat. Seeing him there before her, it was almost like the real him. The wind caught his scent as it brushed past her nose. She watched him, a playful grin on her face emerging suddenly. She knew this was a simulator, anything was possible here. All the feelings she felt for him overwhelmed her simultaneously. She couldn't fight him, could she? But then she heard the challenge, and before she knew it the man was off. But as she examined him for breif moments, she assessed his speed didn't quite seem on par with the real man. Machines could only simulate so much she figured. Isamu was one of a kind, and maybe that's why Kara felt as strongly as she did. She began to materialize herself like she had a few challenges previously, her keen eyes watching the man easily, before she closed a great deal of the distance using a lightning teleportation. The speed and pure energy of the skill seemed to amaze Kara, but she didn't have him yet. Each muscle seemed to be fueled by that electricity coursing through her blood, influencing the electrolyte balance, hitting the nerve impulses, and speeding up her movements faster than she had seen yet. "All the things I ever wanted to say..." She was so close as she watched his every graceful move, each step made with purpose, with pride. "So close.. yet all so meaningless," Kara whispered, her breathing laboured but well under control. She made a few wide steps, following in his trail temporarily, until she came up beside him, turning her head a moment to admire that exquisitely stoic face, young and unmarred by unforgiving wars or the wrath of a woman's scorn. She pulled her head in close, quickly as she ran beside him at his pace, her lips pressing ever so lightly against his cheek, her eyes closed. She exhaled deeply and her run came to a slow as the man ran off. She sighed, heaving in deep breaths, her body bending over, her hands placed on her knees. Her stomach was in knots and she didn't know why. Could a simulator really do that to her? Could her visualization of Isamu make her this flustered? Once Kara finally caught her breath, she decided she was just about finished in terms of training. If only the real him knew how she felt.. maybe this all wouldn't sting quite so harshly..

"I'm truly impressed...who knew speeds could reach such level...interesting." Jack had stated, just grinning there as he watched the battle between Isamu, and ofcourse Kara. It seemed that the danger room liked to play tricks and mind games with us, judging by Kara's expierences. She had to do the tests against people that were her allies; a Knight General, and a Lieutenant like herself. It must be hard he thought, to have to do these tests like this, but what was she supposed to do against the computer? She just had to pass the tests. He wondered now if the compputer would do the same to him, but he couldn't really think of anyone that the computer would pick from, since he tried to keep to himself, and often help out when needed, never really conversate. Hmm, he thought. Jack anxiously awaited, tapping his right foot gently to the ground. So she's had a few tests, and it was good that he got to see exactly what Kara's powers could do so he would have an idea of what it would be like for him to use her powers in a real combat situation, or even a simulation like this. His might be brutal, since he has to learn four different powers. Well, that's gonna be just fine, he thought. Jack loved a good challenge, and ofcourse he had a thrilling feeling to go into battle. He was mesmerized by the art of battle, and maybe that's what made him continue to develop his swordsmanship. Who knew. But, maybe it could help him with more than just his powers, maybe his swordsmanship, and why he kept getting these images in his head before. He also wondered what the hell was taking Lalone and Donovan so long, and even Teyku. Shouldn't they be back by now?

A few slow claps echoed from behind the newest SeVant. Quinn walked slowly up to where Jack was standing as he watched Kara in the danger room. He had put his top back on and let his hair down. The bright red clashing agenst the deep green as it swayed with him. The white robes under were pristene and a bright as snow, it was as if he was never covered in dust and grime down in the hold a little while ago. He stopped next to Jack and clapped a few more times before stopping. "That was an inpressive display of speed. I could barly keep up with the action. Nothing less expected of our new lighting user. I just hope you arn't trying to beat my record." He folded his arms as his golden eyes turned back to a soft set of green ones. He looked at the winded woman for a few more seconds with a smile on his face before turning to the other man in the booth with him. He smiled a little while he sized him up. The swordsman looked ready to train, almost to the point of joy. "You seem ready to try out those crazy powers, a Nexus? I'm sure you would enjoy playing around with a few of mine in there as well. Though using them togeter with hers might be a little bit hard, or convent. Which ever way you see it." He smiled a bit more and held out his hand as a gretting. Quinn knew about the way this boy aquired his powrers and figured Teyku and Donovan wouldn't mind if he let the kid have a little fun with his earth based things. He wouldn't dare give the kid more of his powers for fear of him killing himself. But the earth based ones would be just fine. He spoke loudly this time letting the woman hear him as well. "Quinn Kenshin, the Nature SeVant. It is a pleasure to meet you both."

"Lesson Complete: Overall Grade: A" The world flickered white again before retunring Kara to the field outside Trine Gloria. After several seconds a pair of massive human-sized insects appeared, landing on either side of her. They bore a striking resemblance to fruit flies. Apparently Teyku was serious about that comment. After a long pause the voice spoke again. "Final Lesson With that word, the mouth tubes of both of the flies spat forth a large ball of fire, positioned to Kara's for4ward left and forward right, in a sincere attempt to engulf the Arc SeVant in a torrent of flames. This would be her greatest challenge to date. The bugs boths started beating their wings, creating a loud buzzing, more than enough to distract lesser trained warriors into making a fatal mistake. |
